The Human Behind The Code

I help businesses make technology feel like progress again.

I am Ahmed Sharfi, an independent Web Developer and IT Consultant based in the UAE and serving businesses across Sudan and the MENA region. For more than a decade, I have helped organisations build better websites, move to the cloud, organise workplace technology, and make technical decisions with more confidence.

Most businesses do not have a technology problem. They have a clarity problem.

They have been given tools without a system, websites without a strategy, and advice without accountability. The result is unnecessary complexity. My role is to understand the business problem first, explain the options in plain language, and deliver a solution that works in the real operating environment.

I am not interested in making technology sound impressive for its own sake. I am interested in making it useful, dependable, and easier to manage.

I mix strong coffee with practical IT solutions. The coffee part is non-negotiable.

Experience and focus.

What the work covers in practice:

Web Development

Building credible, high-performance, search-ready business websites that remain useful after launch.

Cloud Workplace

Helping teams migrate, organise, secure, and use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace effectively.

Business Technology

Supporting practical infrastructure, cloud, access, security, and systems decisions as the business grows.

Regional Context

Working with an understanding of Sudan and MENA business realities, language needs, connectivity, distributed teams, and operational constraints.

the log

  1. 2015

    The first paying client

I fixed a small network that kept dropping every afternoon. The owner stayed, and that account still runs with me today. That was the week IT stopped being a hobby.

  2. 2017

    Made it official

Finished a Bachelor's in Information Technology while already taking on work. Having live projects to test the theory against changed how much of it actually stuck.

  3. 2020

    Went out on my own

Left a steady payroll to work with clients directly. Twenty of them said yes in the first year, almost all of it on word of mouth from people I had helped before.

  4. 2021

    Outgrew "just websites"

Clients kept asking who would look after their email, their files, their servers. So the practice widened into full cloud workplace and infrastructure work.

  5. 2023

    Kept studying on purpose

Earned the Google IT Support Professional Certificate to keep the fundamentals sharp, because the basics are what fail first when something breaks at 2am.

  6. 2024

Put AI to work, not on a shelf

Trained in generative AI and prompt engineering, then folded it into real research and delivery instead of leaving it as a party trick.

  7. 2026

    Where things stand now

Forty seven businesses served across Sudan and MENA, one accountable person on every project, and a coffee habit that has never once slowed down.

Direct access matters.

When you work with me, you work with the person responsible for the technical decisions and delivery. You do not have to explain the same problem to several layers of an agency, wait for a ticket queue, or wonder who owns the next action.

I bring a structured process, clear communication, practical recommendations, and a delivery model designed for businesses that want progress without unnecessary complexity.
